The FASTEST FWD Ford in the U.K. and it's a VAN?!

This was certainly one of the more unique builds we saw on our U.K. Santa Pod Raceway trip. A Ford Escort Work Van, boosted to the gils, running 8's and looking good while doing it. Not bad for a car built to haul around tools and equipment, and definitely not what comes to mind when you picture the fastest FWD Ford in Europe.
