Great day of racing ends with CARNAGE (Sick Week: Day 1)

Day 1 marked the first official day of racing at Gainesville Raceway for Sick Week 2026. After getting through testing and tech on Day 0, racers were back on the same surface, now chasing real numbers with points and the week on the line. The racing was strong early on, but the day took a turn late. Two of the three cars we thought had a real shot at running a 5 are already out. Goldstone, after grinding all day and bolting on a borrowed front end just to stay in it, ended up destroying it — bringing a tough end to what started as a great day of racing.
